Resource RoomThe Freedom Historical Society has historical research information, reference materials and books available to both members and guests. These are in the “Resource Room” of the Works Barn and are available to view by contacting our board President (see “contacts” tab). The items you can find are as follows:

  • 80 books, including local authors and some local non-fiction; these are listed in the Freedom Public Library’s catalog. Search by tile, author or FHS (to see all 80 titles) in their catalogue: http://www.freedompubliclibrary.org.
  • Over 150 Books, periodicals and catalogues related to antique furniture, household items, tools, etc. (an on-line listing still needs to be prepared)
  • Freedom Cemetery Book (catalogue of all Freedom cemeteries)
  • Newspaper articles about Freedom events and people, 1923-present
  • Old Home Week historical collection: Posters, Photos, etc.
  • Freedom Town Reports (also available at the Town Office)
